Initial hardware setup

Turn on your HP printer and let it get ready.

After loading the paper in the tray, press Done on your printer’s control panel. When the print an alignment page message is displayed on the screen, press the OK button. The HP printer will start printing the alignment page. Take the alignment page and load it on your printer’s scanner glass. Then select Scan on your printer’s control panel. Now, the printer will start aligning your ink cartridges. Once it is done, select OK.

Software installation

To complete the HP Officejet 5255 setup, you need to perform the software installation on your computer. On your computer, open the HP Officejet 5255 printer driver installer. Perform the on-screen prompts until you reach the screen titled Select your connection. Choose the desired connection type and complete the printer driver installation by following the on-screen instructions. Finally, print a test page.
