  If there is a drop in the network signal, then your printer can go to the offline status. To rectify this issue, from your computer’s control panel, go to Network settings and look for Printer status. Check if the HP Officejet Pro 6960 Printer Setup is offline mode has enabled. If so, change it to online mode. Otherwise, run the  HP Print  and Scan Doctor self-diagnostic tool to fix any printing issue.
