HARDWARE SETUP

Unpack the printer from the carton and place it on a flat surface. Make sure to keep the printer away from direct sunlight. Now, unpack the accessories from the carton and place them near the printer. Unpack the toner ink cartridge from the packaging, open the cartridge access door, and place the toner into the respective slot. Now, close the cartridge access door.

 

Open the paper tray cover from the bottom of the printer. Inside, slide the paper guide to the corners. Have a stack of paper ready and place it inside the paper tray. Adjust the paper guides to align the stack neatly. Just below the cartridge access door, adjust the paper support tray. Finally, you can connect the power cord to the power source and to the back of the printer and turn it on.

 

The very next thing you must do is, download the HP Smart app to add the printer and complete the software setup.

 

SOFTWARE SETUP

You can download the HP Smart app from the official HP support page or from the Microsoft Store (Windows users) or App Store (Mac users).

 

Steps to download HP Smart:

Open the App Store or the Microsoft Store based on the Operating System you are using.

Search for the HP Smart app from the search bar.

Once the page opens, click the Install (Microsoft Store) or Get (App Store) button.

Once the HP Smart app download is complete, proceed with the installation.

 

To use the HP Smart app for your printer, you need to create or sign in to an HP account. By doing this, you can easily have all the access to the functions of the HP LaserJet M234dwe printer.

 

CONNECT THE HP LASERJET M234DWE PRINTER TO WIRELESS NETWORK USING WPS

Press the Wireless button on the printer control panel for 3 seconds. You will notice the Wireless light blinking. This is when you need to press the WPS button on the router.
