123 HP ENVY 5660 PRINTER INSTALLATION

 HP Envy 5660 is an All-in-One printer designed to print, copy, and scan documents with ease. This printer supports Wi-Fi Direct and wireless interface, allowing you to print/scan from any wireless device. It comes with another special feature, 2-sided printing. With this feature you can automatically print double-sided documents from your computer to the HP Envy 5660 printer. The installation of this HP printer includes the following steps.

Unpacking:

As always, initially, unbox the product package. The accessories like power cord, user's manual, CD-ROM, and ink cartridges are supplied with the HP printer. Take them out from the box and keep them safe for later use.


Paper loading:

Before installing the ink cartridges, it is necessary to load a stack of legal plain paper in the paper input tray. For a video tutorial on how to load the paper tray, navigate to the printer's control panel and watch the video by tapping the Play icon. But this option can be accessed only after turning the printer on and configuring the basic preferences.


Connecting to a power supply:

To turn on the printer, you have to connect one of the ends of the supplied power cord to your printer's Power port and the other end to a wall outlet. Once you have successfully connected the power cord, press the Power button on the printer's control panel. Choose your language and tap Continue. Do the same to set up your region/country and choose your required date & time.


Ink installation:

HP uses only genuine ink cartridges. To install the ink cartridges in your printer, you should open the top cover first and then wait for the ink carriage holder to move to the center. Unpack the ink cartridges and install them in the ink holder after removing the protective films. Make sure to install the black ink in the right side slot and the color ink on the left slot. Once you are done with ink installation, close the top cover and proceed with the printer software installation.


Printer software installation:

Visit the official HP site and download the full-feature driver package that supports the OS running your computer. Next, open the driver package from the Downloads folder and run the setup file to begin the driver installation. Once you have completed the driver installation, verify the 123.hp.com/envy5660 printer functionality.
