123 HP ENVY 4520 PRINTER INSTALLATION

 HP Envy 4520 is an All-in-One printer that has an input tray capacity of 100 sheets of paper. You can use the printer to print labels, envelopes, brochures, and cards. The output tray can hold up to 25 sheets. The print method used is drop-on-demand thermal inkjet printing. This printer’s duty cycle is up to 1200 pages per month. Since HP Envy 4520 is an All-in-One printer, it can perform printing, copying, scanning, and faxing functions.


Let us now learn how to perform the HP Envy 4520 printer installation. We will begin with the hardware setup.


First, open the box in which your HP Envy 4520 printer has come packaged. Next, check whether all the components are available. The items in the box should include the following:


A bag that contains all the paperwork for your HP printer. The paperwork will include the items listed below:

The installation CD.

The 63 black and tri-color cartridges.

The power cable.


It is now time to take the printer out. Next, you need to remove all the packing materials and protective tapes from the outside and inside of the printer. Leaving these materials within the printer might cause issues later while printing.


Now that you have unpacked the printer, turn your attention to the rear part of the printer and then connect the power cable to the port located there. Plug the other end of the same power cable into your wall outlet. You can now press the power button. Your HP printer will now start initializing and it might make some noise, which is quite normal.


On the printer control panel, choose the desired language and touch Yes for confirmation. Then you have to proceed to install the ink cartridges on the printer. First, open the ink cartridge access door. Next, open the tri-color cartridge. Take out the cartridge from its packaging and remove the tape using the orange pull tab.


On your printer, lift the lid for the tri-color cartridge. Now, set this cartridge in the slot and close the lid such that it snaps into position. Repeat the procedure for the black cartridge also and then close its lid. You can now close the printer’s ink cartridge access door.


After installing the ink cartridges, slide out the paper input tray. Align a stack of original plain white paper and then load it into the tray. Make sure that you adjust the paper width guides. You can now slide the paper input tray back into the printer. You will find that your HP printer now prints an alignment page. You should scan this alignment page in order to complete the calibration. Keep the alignment page with its face down on the lower-right end of the scanner bed. Your alignment page will now be scanned and you will now see the Alignment Successful screen.


The hardware setup is now complete. You can now proceed with the software installation on your Windows computer. This will be the second half of the 123 HP Envy 4520 printer installation.


To install the printer on your computer, use the installation CD, or you can download the printer driver from the official HP site. Run the driver installer on your computer and make sure to select the connection type when prompted. Following the instructions on the setup wizard will complete the installation of the HP printer on your computer. Finally, you have to print a test page from your computer.
