Steps: HP Officejet 5740 Fax Setup

 

  1. Take a telephone cable.
  2. Connect the cable to the 1-LINE jack of the printer and a phone wall jack.
  3. Configure the fax settings and preferences.
  4. After configuring the settings, go to the Fax or Setup menu on the control panel of the HP Officejet 5740 setup.
  5. Tap Run Fax Test or Fax Test Report.
  6. Go through the report and check if the fax setup is configured correctly.
