How to Get Back Online on HP Printer Offline

 

  • You cannot communicate with your HP printer if the offline error occurs. You have to check whether it is turned off or in Hibernate mode. If so, press the Home button or restart your printer.
  • Once you have restarted your HP printer, check the cable connection. Make sure to use a standard USB cable to connect the printer to your computer. Firmly plug the USB cable into the computer's USB port.
  • On your computer, open the print application and try printing a test page to check if the offline printer problem has been resolved. If the problem persists, clear the print jobs from the print queue.
  • Besides, check your printer status on your computer. If you are using Windows OS, open the Control Panel app and choose Devices and Printers. Right-click on your printer's icon and select the See what's printing option.
