Set Up A Lexmark Printer Without The CD

Step 1: For how to set up a Lexmark printer without the cd on your Windows, follow the steps given here. Initially, download the driver software from the manufacturer’s site. Visit the producer’s website, download the driver software for your printer model.

Step 2: After downloading the driver, follow the instructions given here. Connect the printer and the computer using the USB cable that shipped with your Lexmark printer. Place the computer and the printer next to each other. Now, power the computer and the printer ON.

Step 6: Click Next. Choose the manufacturer & printer model, and again click the Next option. Enter a name and confirm name in the given entry field and select the set printer as default printer option if required. Click Next. Now, try a test print to make sure that the printer is set up correctly and then click Next.

Step 7: You will receive the successful installation message and click Finish. Likewise, you can also set up a Lexmark printer on your Mac os. To do so, download the installation software from the producer’s site. Once you download the software on your Mac os, install it on your system as per the guided instructions.

Step 8: Two types of set up option are available for Mac Os. You can use Network and local or USB connection for setup. To set up through a Network connection, go with the instructions given here for how to set up a Lexmark printer without the cd. Connect your printer and the Mac OS to the same network.

Step 9: If your Lexmark printer is not connected to the network, then select the Wireless Setup Assistant or choose the USB connection for the setup. To set up a printer through a USB connection, go with the instructions given here. On your Mac os, tap the Finder option, then navigate to System Preferences—> Print & Scan.

Step 10: Click the plus (+) icon to add the printer to the list. Choose the printer which is attached to the system, from the list of printers. Choose the Printer Software option from the Print Using drop-down menu. Select your printer model and click OK. Click Add. A print queue for your printer will be created in the Print & Scan option.
