  • Make sure that you use either a Mac that runs on OS X 10.7 and newer version or an iOS device that runs on iOS 4.2 and newer version.
  • If your HP deskjet printer is compatible with airprint, switch off the printer and plug out the USB cable from the printer.
  • Connect the power cord of the printer directly to the electrical outlet and switch on your printer. Connect the HP deskjet to your wireless network.

  • Try printing a sample document or photo from the iOS device or Mac to see if the connection between the HP deskjet printer and your device is secure.
