Press the Home key on the Roku remote. Choose the Settings option and select the Network option from the Settings menu. Choose the Setup Connection option. Select the Wired or Wireless option on your Roku device. If you select Wired, connect your Roku device to the router or home network using an Ethernet cable. Ensure that your router and Roku are connected firmly. If the Roku device does not have an Ethernet port, a wired network connection will not be support.

To set up a wireless network connection on your Roku, connect your router to a broadband connection. Note down the Network Service Set Identifier (SSID). If you have a secured your internet connection using a network password, note down the password to set up the wireless connection.

Choose Wireless option when the Roku device prompts. Now the Roku device searches for the list of available networks. Ensure that you have kept the Roku device within the range of the router.

The Roku device starts searching for the list of the nearby networks.

Click on your router’s Network SSID when the device displays a list of nearby networks. If you are not able to see your network SSID, press Scan to view the All Networks option. When the Roku device identifies your router Network SSID, click on it.

Make sure the passwords are case sensitive. Use the Up arrow key on the on-screen keyboard to enter a capital letter. Once you have entered the password successfully, click the Connect option to get connected to the router’s wireless network.

After connecting your Roku device to the internet successfully, the most recent version of the software for your Roku device will start to download automatically. When the download process ends, the software gets installed on your Roku device. Roku will restart once the installation completes. Now start to stream audio and video on your Roku. If the device fails to connect to the network, check the router connection for a good signal and then connect your Roku device to the network.
