  • If removing an ink cartridge for later use, ensure that you protect the ink supply area from dirt and store it in the same environment as the printer.
  • Make sure that you do not touch the ink supply port or the surrounding area of the cartridge.
  • Insert ink cartridges with the label facing up; do not store cartridges upside-down.
  • Note that old ink cartridges can be reused or recycled. If you wish to, then, set the cartridge aside for later use.
  • Carefully remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging and then discard all the unwanted wrap from it.
  • Now, look at the bottom of the cartridge for a small plastic cap or piece of tape against the cartridge and then carefully remove it.

  • Now, push the lever back down to lock the cartridge it into place and then close the cover of the printer.
