How to Fix Printer Installation Failed

There are several reasons that cause the printer installation to fail. The Printer Installation Failed message appears on the computer screen.


  1. If your printer uses a wired connection, disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the printer, wait for 10 seconds and reconnect the cord to the rear of the printer.
  3. Reconnect the USB cable to the printer. Make sure that you use a USB cable of less than 3 meters in length.
  4. Make sure that you connect the cable to the port available on the computer.
  5. If you connect it through the hub or station, the printer might not receive sufficient power to operate.
  6. Check if the issue is resolved, if not try using a different USB cable.
  7. Uninstall and reinstall the software. If the issue persists, try using the printer on another system.
