FIRST TIME HP OFFICEJET 5740 PRINTER SETUP


  1.    You initially need to prepare for the printer setup. Ensure to check the requirements to prepare for the network connection 123.hp.com/setup 5740 and driver installation.
  2.    Ascertain that the printer is turned on and in a ready state. If you have connected a USB cable to the printer, disconnect the cable temporarily.
  3.    Ensure to not connect the cable until prompted during the driver installation step. After a while, install the driver and set up the connection.
  4.    If prompted to choose a connection type, select your desired network connection. Select the printer model from the list that appears on the panel.Download the full-feature printer driver based on your operating system.
  5.    The software driver for Windows is available in the .exe format, whereas, for Mac, it is available in the .dmg format.
  6.    Double-click the setup file, follow the screen prompts and continue to complete the installation.
