 Procedure To Reset The HP Officejet Pro 8710 Printer

Some of the printer issues like paper feed issue, paper jam, carriage error, print quality issue, color or black ink not printing issue, etc., may be solved by trying out some troubleshooting steps. If the troubleshooting methods do not solve the issue, try resetting your printer from the current settings to default.

To reset your HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer, check and ensure the printer is in a working condition. If the printer is not active, wake up your printer from sleep mode. With the printer turned on, unplug the printer power cable from the rear port of the printer. Also, plug the power cable out from the wall outlet. Let the printer be idle for a few minutes.

Connect the printer power cord back into the wall outlet or electrical outlet without any stabilizers or adapters. Check if the printer turns on automatically. If not, press the Power icon and turn the printer to the active state. Place an ample amount of paper in the input tray and install the ink cartridges into the appropriate slots. Try working on your printer.

If this reset process does not rectify the issue, then locate the Question mark button on the printer panel and then press up and down on the button. Now the Engineering Menu opens on your control panel. There will be a list of options available under the Engineering menu. Click Services Menu to open it.

Press the Up and Down arrow symbol on the panel screen and locate the Resets Menu and then tap OK. Inside the Reset Menu, there will be multiple reset options available such as Country & Language Reset, Partial Reset, Semi-Full Reset, and OOBE Reset option. Make use of the up and down arrow keys to locate the OOBE Reset option and tap OK to select it.

Now your HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer will shut down and restart. If the printer does not turn on on it own, press the Power switch to turn on the printer.
