Laserjet M856X Setup

 The HP LaserJet M856x printer can print in black and color and can achieve a monthly duty cycle of 250,000 pages. The setup process is simple, but one needs to be careful due to the physical characteristics of the printer.


First, unpack the printer from the box and verify the contents of the box to match your printer’s specifications.

Take the toner cartridges, user manual, power cord, warranty cards, and driver installation disc from the package and keep them safe for future usage. 

Remove all the protective tapes and covers on the HP LaserJet M856x printer.

Open the front door and load the ink cartridges after removing the orange protective shield.

Make sure not to touch the developer roller on the ink cartridge to avoid print quality problems.

Pull out the paper tray and remove the packing materials.

Load some plain paper and adjust the paper guides.

Stabilize the printer with stabilizing feet that comes with the product package.

Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet and turn on the printer.

Navigate to the printer control panel and enable the USB port from the settings.

Wait until the software installation completes to connect your HP printer to the computer.

You can get the reports of the firmware update, network status, and configuration information from the printer.

Download the latest firmware from the official site if you find that the firmware is outdated from the firmware report.

Proceed with the driver installation for the HP LaserJet M856x printer on your desktop. 

Finally, perform a print on the HP printer to verify the printer functions.
