Physical connection
Check the cable connection.
If the connected cable is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Ensure that you have connected the cable to the correct port on the rear side of the machine.
Computer not communicating with the machine
Launch a Command Prompt window by entering ‘cmd’ in the Run dialog box on your Windows computer.
Enter ‘ping’ without including the single quotes followed by the machine’s IP address.
If the ping command fails, select the Printer Properties option from the printer menu and click the Ports tab.
Check if you have selected the existing IP address of the HP Laserjet Enterprise M507X printer.
Network settings
Check for the status of the network on the configuration/networking page of the HP Laserjet Enterprise M507X printer.
If required, reset the router and reconfigure the network settings of the machine correctly.
