Take out the HP DeskJet 2640 printer from the carton box.

Remove all the protective tapes surrounding the printer.

Open the front door of the printer and remove the protective tapes from the inside of the printer and proceed with how to setup HP Deskjet 2640 printer procedure.

Take the power cord, connect one end of the power cord to the power source and the other end to the HP DeskJet printer.

Press the Power button on the printer panel to turn it on.

Open the printer's front door, wait till the cartridge head becomes idle.

Now, take the black ink cartridge and remove it from the package.

Remove the protective tapes from the ink cartridge.

Insert the cartridge into the Black color slot located on the right side of the printer.

Repeat the same steps for the tri-color ink cartridge.

Insert the cartridge into the left side of the printer setup and close the front door.

Open the paper tray and the extender located at the back of the printer for HP Deskjet 2640 setup.

The maximum sheet capacity of this printer is 25. Make sure not to insert more than 25 pages in the paper tray.

Move the paper guide to the edge of the tray, place a stack of paper on the tray, and adjust the paper guide according to the size of the paper.

With this, the initial hardware setup of the HP DeskJet 2640 printer will be completed.
