HP Officejet 5255 Factory Reset

 Disconnect the printer from power and network sources. Wait for a few seconds and then reestablish the connections.

  1. Take a backup of the information on your printer.
  2. Go to the Resets menu on your HP OfficeJet 5255 printer.
  3. Select the Recovery Manager or Device manager tab.
  4. Touch the Factory Reset option on the upcoming screen.
  5. The printer displays a warning message stating Are you sure? Yes, No, or Cancel.
  6. Tap Yes and the printer displays three types of the factory reset process.
  7. Touch each option to know about their actions and then choose one.
  8. Proceed with the on-screen directions to complete the factory reset process.
