How to Install HP Officejet 4000 Printer?

Unseal the HP OJ 4000 Printer Box
  • Once you get the printer from the manufacturer, ensure that the manufacturer’s seal is present.
  • Unseal the box and open it.
  • Verify if the printer components are provided in it.
  • Take the printer components and place them on a dust-free surface.
Remove the Packing Materials from the Printer
  • Peel off the protective tapes from the printer.
  • Remove the packing materials from inside & outside of the printer.
Connect the Power Cable
  • Unpack the power cable given in the printer box.
  • Link the cable to the HP Officejet 4000 printer and power supply.
  • Note: Do not link the cable to a surge protector as it may cause power fluctuations.
Power Up the HP Officejet 4000 Printer
  • Turn on the HP Officejet 4000 Setup printer by force pressing its power button.
  • Set your preferences on the control panel of the printer.
Install Ink Cartridges
  • Take the ink cartridges from the printer.
  • Unpack the cartridges and remove the protective tapes from the printer.
  • Do not touch the ink nozzles & copper-colored contacts of the cartridges.
  • Touch only the black-colored plastic on the cartridges for handling them.
Load the Paper Tray
  • Open the access door of the input tray.
  • Take a bunch of paper and tap on an even surface.
  • Place the paper in the paper tray.
  • Fix the sheets by adjusting the paper width guides.
  • Arrange the installed cartridges using a related option on the control panel of the printer.
Install the HP Officejet 4000 Printer Software
  • Download and HP Officejet 4000 Printer Setup the current version of the full-feature driver that suits the OS version of your system.
