  1. Remove the printer from the package, and remove the tape from the printer.
  2. Plug the printer into a power source, and turn it on.
  3. Change the preferences on the printer’s control panel.
  4. Install ink cartridges in the printer.
  5. Load plain paper into the input tray.
  6. Align the ink cartridges and place the alignment page on the scanner glass.
